Brussels must return to fundamental European values, writes Speaker of the Georgian Parliament on his Facebook page.

Thus he responded to Donald Trump’s recent statement, in which the U.S. President described the events, saying, “These are no longer protests, it is a crime when stones are thrown at law enforcement vehicles”.

“Today, the world agrees that violent protests are the enemy of democracy. In this context, chanting “the EU supports Elene” [Khoshtaria, leader of “Droa” party] is choosing the side of violence.
