In January–July 2026, the external merchandise trade turnover of Georgia amounted to USD 15,517,000,000, which is 7.5% higher than the indicator of the corresponding period of the previous year. The information was released by the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
According to the same source, in the last 6 months, exports increased by almost 22%, while imports grew by 2.4%.
“In July, a new historical monthly peak was recorded for exports. The export figure of USD 792 million stands as a new historical maximum, and the 7-month indicator is also a new historical high for this period of the year - exceeding USD 4,668,000,000. This clearly and distinctly indicates that Georgia continues to develop at a strong pace; a high export performance naturally serves as the foundation for robust economic growth”, - said Mikheil Dundua, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia.
