According to data for the first seven months of the current year, as part of the verification of the accuracy of information recorded in the "Registry of Employees", employees of the Tax Monitoring Department of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance conducted control measures across the country. During inspections of businesses operating in various sectors, they identified 4,580 cases of violations related to the accuracy of information in the Registry of Employees.
The Revenue Service reminds persons engaged in economic activities that such violations create risks of tax evasion and calls on employers to register employees in the "Registry of Employees," in accordance with the legislation, immediately upon concluding an employment contract with them.
We would also like to clarify that, pursuant to Article 12 of the Tax Code of Georgia, the accuracy of information recorded in the "Registry of Employees" is subject to strict monitoring by the Revenue Service.
