Chairman of Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee of the Parliament responds to President Mikheil Kavelashvili’s letter addressed to the US President Donald Trump.
As Irakli Kadagishvili highlighted, the “letter further reviewed the harmful policies pursued under the previous US administration”.
“Restoring strategic relations with the US and translating them into tangible results is of vital importance for Georgia… It points out that after Donald Trump was elected, when America was to have a new president, the previous administration canceled the strategic cooperation document with Georgia. This left behind a negative legacy, and reversing it naturally required some time. Perhaps that time is now, and the president’s letter can be seen as a signal of this”, - said Irakli Kadagishvili
