The international B2B Summit by Tarifa was held in Tbilisi, organized with the support of the Convention and Exhibition Bureau of the Georgian National Tourism Administration.

The event aimed to introduce the countr’s business tourism opportunities and strengthen ties with foreign partners. It was attended by about 50 buyers from Europe and 40 Georgian tourism companies.

Claude Journay, a representative of the French company “Echapevoo”, considers Georgia to be one of the most interesting and promising destinations for MICE tourism and notes that despite the current global challenges that affect business tourism, interest in Georgia is still high

“I believe that Georgia is the best destination for MICE tourism. Our company specializes in this area and cooperates only with the business sector. Business, in general, is distinguished by caution. At this stage, the events taking place in the Middle East are also a challenge for Georgia. Despite everything, every Frenchman who comes to Georgia falls in love with this country very much”, - said Claude Journay.

As he noted, Tarifa Summit and similar international platforms play an important role in better presenting the country’s tourism potential and establishing new cooperation.

“It is very important for me to get to know all the new hotels and the best offers that Georgia has to offer. Our clients usually stay for three or four nights on short visits, so we need to be able to concentrate on the best experience without spending too much time on transfers. They want to discover as much as possible in a short time, for which Georgia is the best destination”, - added Claude Journay.
