Chinese tour operators and media representatives have arrived in Georgia to explore the country`s tourism potential. The familiarization visit was organized by the National Tourism Administration in collaboration with the international tourism platform, ITB China.
Representatives of the Chinese tourism industry met with their Georgian colleagues in a B2B format, where the parties discussed opportunities for deepening cooperation and creating joint tourism products.
As part of the introductory tour, the guests visited several key tourist destinations in Georgia. The Chinese tour operators and journalists visited Old Tbilisi, Mtskheta, and Mukhrani.
The country`s cultural heritage, Georgian cuisine, and wine - the Chinese tour operators were introduced to all the directions traditionally offered to those wishing to travel to Georgia.
During meetings with representatives of the Georgian tourism sector, discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and developing new tourist routes for Chinese travelers. Georgia will be featured as a Partner Country at ITB China 2026.
At the exhibition scheduled from May 6 to May 28, Georgia`s promotional stand will occupy 400 square meters. The event will showcase Georgian culture, folklore, gastronomy, and the 8,000-year-old tradition of Georgian wine.
About 70 Georgian companies will participate in the exhibition. There will be presentations, workshops, masterclasses on wine and Georgian dishes, and tastings.
