The convention in the United National Movement is being held against the backdrop of a boycott by the current chairperson. A few days ago, Tina Bokuchava [Chairperson] declared the convention illegitimate and noted that Petre Tsiskarishvili, on Mikheil Saakashvili’s instructions, hid the minutes of the political council meeting and forged signatures.

According to party member of the party Khatia Dekanoidze, the General Secretary had full authority to convene the political council.

“The General Secretary had the right to convene the political council, and besides, of course, it has full legitimacy, and there was a quorum. We have never held an illegitimate political council meeting. I do not have information, or rather, I really hope she will come, because she was the party Chairperson for two years, and I truly don’t think she will miss this meeting”, - said Khatia Dekanoidze.
