A Georgian citizen illegally detained in the territory adjacent to the village of Zadiaantkari, Kaspi Municipality, on December 23, 2025, is free and is in the territory controlled by the central Government.

“All relevant tools at the disposal of the central Government were actively used in the process of releasing the illegally detained Georgian citizen.

Also, the issue was discussed at a meeting held in the format of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism.

The central government, the State Security Service continue to work actively to release all citizens of Georgia illegally detained in the occupied territories”, - reads the statement of the State Security Service of Georgia.
