Georgia state flags were displaced from the building of Tbilisi City Municipal Assembly with the initiative of Denomination and Symbols Commission of the Assembly on the occasion of State Flag Day.

As the Chairman of Denomination and Symbols commission Levan Abashidze noted, State Flag Day, which Georgia has celebrated since 2012, is quite important

"Today is a very important day, State Flag Day. Tbilisi City Municipal Assembly celebrates this day since its founding. Denomination and Symbols Commission, displayed flags traditionally on the facade of Tbilisi City Municipal Assembly building", - stated Chairman of Denomination and Symbols Commission of Tbilisi City Assembly.

According to the law on the rules for use of Georgian State Symbols, January 14 was declared as the State Flag Day of Georgia in 2012.
