Prime Minister of Georgia described Moldovan President Maia Sandu’s statement regarding possible reunification with Romania as “astonishing” and a “very sad development” for Moldova.
“For me, first of all, such a statement is astonishing. A country’s political leader declares that she is ready to vote in favor of the loss of the country’s independence. When such a statement is made by a political leader, I don’t even know what comment can be made about it. This is a very sad development for Moldova, for a country that gained independence together with us in the early 1990s. The rest is Moldova’s own affair - they will probably sort out their own issues themselves”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
