International agenda is changing, and amid such transformations, for a country like Georgia, international relations based on rational, pragmatic policy of vital importance - Kobakhidze

The pivotal role of Georgia’s diplomatic missions in consolidating support for the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made at the annual Ambassadors’ Conference.

“Amid the occupation of 20% of our territories, the policy of non-recognition [of the Russian-occupied territories] remains an unwavering priority. The success we have achieved in this direction is, without a doubt, the result of our diplomats’ dedicated efforts.

I am pleased to once again address you at the annual Ambassadors’ Conference, which has developed into a very interesting platform for dialogue. Today’s conference offers an excellent opportunity to summarize the past year - a year full of challenges, all of which we have successfully overcome. Your contribution, especially that of our ambassadors, has been decisive in this regard, and I sincerely thank each of you for your tireless efforts.

In such times of transformation, for a country like Georgia, located in a complex region, it is vital to maintain international relations based on rational and pragmatic policies. In this context, the role of our diplomats is decisive.

I want to underscore the extremely significant role of our diplomatic missions in consolidating support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Given the occupation of 20% of our territories, the policy of non-recognition remains a constant priority. The successful work we have done in this area is, once again, thanks to you, our diplomats”, - said Iraki Kobakhidze.
