Parliament adopted the Draft Law on Education Quality Improvement for the III reading

The Parliament deliberated on the Draft Law on Education Quality Improvement for the III reading and adopted it with 77 votes, introduced by the Deputy Education, Science and Youth Minister, Zviad Gabisonia.

In case of expiration of the authorization of an educational institution and accreditation of a higher education program, the educational institutions that have submitted an authorization/accreditation application within the deadlines set forth in the Authorization and Accreditation Regulations shall enjoy the opportunity to continue operating in an authorized/accredited mode until a final decision is made.

According to the amendment, an educational institution will be considered authorized, and a higher education program will be considered accredited, for a period of 180 calendar days from the expiration of the authorization/accreditation period.
