Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, has met with Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, the Vice President of India and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of Parliament.

The parties highlighted the warm and productive relations between Georgia and India, which continue to develop on the foundation of mutual respect. They underscored the significance of the historic visit by the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament to India as a valuable opportunity to strengthen parliamentary ties.

Discussions covered a range of topics concerning bilateral relations, including parliamentary cooperation, as well as collaboration in trade, economics, investment, tourism, education, and culture.

The leaders also exchanged views on the current regional developments affecting both countries. The importance of peace and stability was emphasized, with particular focus on the potential of the Middle Corridor and the opportunities for cooperation in this regard.
