Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
The sides highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Armenia and reviewed the current situation in the region.
The discussion also touched upon bilateral good-neighborly relations. It was noted that political dialogue between Georgia and Armenia is conducted at the highest level. Special attention was paid to trade and economic cooperation and the fact that Armenia is among Georgia"s ten largest trading partners.
During the meeting, Georgia’s important role in ensuring stable and peaceful development in the region was highlighted. The meeting at the Government Administration of Georgia was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani, Georgia’s Ambassador to Armenia Giorgi Sharvashidze and Armenia’s Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan.
