Minister of Internal Affairs Geka Geladze held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Georgia, Olivier Courteaud.

The Minister congratulated the French Ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Georgia and wished him success in his future endeavors.

Within the scope of the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral relations between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and the French Republic. The Minister of Internal Affairs especially emphasized the operative cooperation and its importance in the context of combating organized crime.

The parties also discussed the perspectives of deepening cooperation and expressed hope that through joint efforts, existing ties between two countries will further deepen.
