Police arrested another person on charges of organizing and participating in group violence near a supermarket in Tbilisi

As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested another person - Sh.A., born in 1997, on charges of organizing and participating in group violence.

In connection with the above-mentioned criminal case, law enforcement officers have already detained: Manana Giorgobiani, born in 1970, J.Ch., born in 1996, L.G., born in 2000, D.P., born in 1999, and D.K., born in 1995.

The committed crime envisions up to 9 years of imprisonment.

The investigation conducted by law enforcement officers has established that the accused person, along with several others, physically assaulted two employees of a supermarket in Tbilisi late at night on November 2. As a result of the investigative actions conducted into the case, law enforcement officers identified all the perpetrators of the crime and arrested them as defendants.

The investigation is underway under Article 225, I and II parts of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to group violence and organization of group violence.
