Prime Minister of Georgia reaffirmed country`s commitment to strengthening both the political and economic dimensions of its partnership with China.
"We attach great importance to both the political and economic dimensions of Georgian-Chinese relations. Accordingly, we will do everything we can to further deepen the Georgian-Chinese strategic partnership and our bilateral relations. Year by year, exports from Georgia to China are increasing, and our interest is to further deepen trade and economic relations.
Naturally, participating in this event will greatly contribute to the further development of these relations.
Yesterday we had a meeting with the Premier of China, where we discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and touched upon all areas that could be of mutual interest for the development of relations between our countries. We attach great importance to both the political and economic aspects of this relationship and will therefore do everything possible to further strengthen the Georgian-Chinese partnership, the strategic partnership, and our relations as a whole.
We also had a meeting with the Mayor of Shanghai. This year, an agreement was signed on the twinning of Shanghai and Tbilisi, and it is important to deepen the partnership between the two cities.
We also discussed the development of relations between our countries in this context. Overall, our visit is progressing very productively, and we are confident that it will yield concrete, tangible results in the future", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
