The path to the European Union doesn’t run through Ursula von der Leyen, nor through Kallas, nor through Kos, said today parliamentary majority member Levan Machavariani, while commenting on the European Commission’s enlargement report.

“Circulation of lies and absolutely unsubstantiated accusations starts precisely from the day military operations began in Ukraine. The reason was that Georgia refused to open a second front. The path to the EU doesn’t run through Ursula von der Leyen, nor through Kallas, nor through Kos; it’s about values, which is why we aspire to join the EU. Today, in the hands of these Eurocrats, who are directly pawns of the “Deep State”, the EU is far removed from these values.

We remain hopeful that by 2030, when EU enlargement is officially scheduled, the situation will have changed dramatically within the next five years. We see that several countries in the EU have begun to awaken. Georgia and the Georgian people exemplify how to defend one’s country’s sovereignty steadfastly. Accordingly, no one will prevent us from being the most prepared country in 2030, so that we can join the EU”, - said Levan Machavariani.
