The Prime Minister of Georgia discussed the steps taken over the past few months to fight corruption, noting that the new initiative eliminates deals between purchasing organizations and the respective companies.
“Everything will be fully transparent, ensuring completely fair competition. All relevant transactions will be fully secured. This will improve cost efficiency and, ultimately, positively impact the quality of completed work”, - noted Head of the Government.
He thanked Infrastructure Minister Revaz Sokhadze for his work on addressing problematic projects and stressed the importance of establishing a new practice that ensures the high-quality implementation of all infrastructure projects in the country.
“The results are already visible and will become even more apparent. I want to emphasize again the significance of this issue and note that numerous concrete steps have been taken to eliminate corruption in the country.
Performance of the government is fully transparent and all Government Decrees are accessible to anyone. Accordingly, if anyone notices any sign of misconduct in any of them, they can address us with questions, and all questions will be answered. We will continue to work with this level of transparency in the future”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
