The Baltic States did the very same things they urged Georgia not to do regarding Russia - what was forbidden for Georgia was allowed for them. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

Thus he responded to a journalistic investigation conducted by National Broadcaster of Lithuania, which revealed that despite sanctions, companies from the Baltic States are involved in transferring oil to Russia’s “shadow” tankers.

“This is a typical double standard. What is forbidden for us is allowed for them. This is not the first time. We can look back at a number of their statements regarding Georgia, all of them are filled with falsehoods. They urge us to do one thing and then do the opposite themselves. Everything is clear, everyone acts based on their own interests. They do what their countries need. Accordingly, we pursue the kind of policy that is, first and foremost, important for our country and for its future”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
