Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maka Botchorishvili will participate in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand.
As part of the visit, the Minister will deliver a speech at the 43rd session, as well as hold meetings with fellow ministers and UNESCO leaders.
A Georgian pavilion will be set up within the framework of the UNESCO General Conference.
The exposition will be dedicated to the Georgian intangible cultural heritage - the tradition of qvevri winemaking and Georgian polyphonic music.
A concert of the Georgian folk song ensemble “Basiani” will be held on the stage of the Samarkand Music and Drama Theater. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize the events planned in Samarkand in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the National Wine Agency.
