Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met with Zhou Qian, the Ambassador of China to the country, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation.

The discussion focused on the strategic partnership between Georgia and China, emphasising collaboration in the economy, tourism, education, and culture.

Botchorishvili highlighted the significance of visa-free travel, which facilitates business engagement and people-to-people contacts, as well as the importance of direct air connectivity between the two countries.

The parties also discussed Georgia`s participation in the 8th China International Import Expo in Shanghai and reviewed broader regional developments, including prospects for the Middle Corridor.

Importance of ensuring peace and stability in the region was underscored.
