Bidzina Ivanishvili is uncompromising in his attitude towards corruption - Irakli Kobakhidze

Bidzina Ivanishvili maintains an unwavering stance against corruption. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“I can assure you of one thing: Bidzina Ivanishvili is uncompromising in his attitude towards corruption. Let me remind you that in December 2023, upon entering politics, he made one of the main declarations at the party congress, emphasising that fighting corruption would be among our top priorities.

Progress took time. Last year was particularly challenging, especially as it was an election year with significant political pressure. Today, we are more independent than ever before, and we are capable of responding to these challenges. Under these circumstances, it has become easier to confront all internal issues, including corruption.

Persistent external efforts to artificially weaken us ultimately undermine the strength of the state, and this also applies to our fight against corruption.

Today, we are stronger than ever. We are more independent than ever, and external attempts to destabilise us have failed. We possess all the resources necessary to combat corruption in every aspect.

We will hold accountable for any government decision, tender, or privatisation that shows signs of corruption. You will not find a single fact that we cannot answer for.

I personally take responsibility for ensuring that we do our utmost to eliminate corruption in our country; this is a fact.

Over the past two years, if you cannot point to a single act, tender, or privatisation with evidence of corruption, it means we have taken radical steps during this period. Since February 8, 2024, Bidzina Ivanishvili’s promises from December 2023 have been actively fulfilled”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
