Prime Minister of Georgia said that with the support of the Georgian people, his Government successfully protected the country over the past five years from all externally imposed attempts to provoke war and unrest.

"Over the 35 years of independent political life, especially in the past 5 years, Georgian society had gained significant experience, and along with that experience, the wisdom to correctly assess who its true friends were, and who didn’t wish well for Georgia.

In a situation where not a single organization or state, including the US, the EU, or individual EU member states, had made a statement condemning or distancing themselves from the attempted overthrow of a Government elected by the people, the Georgian public must ask itself a simple question: after this, can the statements of these states and organizations hold any value?

Naturally, this question is rhetorical in its essence, and it is clear that the statements of those states and organizations that cannot hide their irritation towards the Georgian people, their choice, and their uncompromising fight for peace, will have no value - neither now nor in the future.

It is precisely the knowledge and wisdom of the Georgian people that is the main guarantee that Georgia’s peaceful, stable development would certainly continue, no matter who supports attempts to drag the country into unrest or war.
