Georgia was granted visa-free travel based on the merits of the Georgian Dream policy, nothing will threaten this status if there is a fair and respectful attitude towards Georgia. Such a statement made today the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

“I can assure you that visa-free travel will not be suspended due to the policies of the Georgian Dream.

Georgia earned this privilege through its own efforts and commitments. The country has consistently fulfilled its obligations concerning relations with the EU, including the Association Agreement. If anyone has concerns about whether commitments are being met, it is those who are on the other side.

We have said this many times and I will repeat it once again, this is the instrumentalization of relations with the European Union. There is no other reason, no other basis for discussing this topic with Georgia at all”, - said Maka Botchorishvili.
