Meeting of the Interagency Task Force for Free and Fair Elections was held at the Ministry of Justice, chaired by Minister Paata Salia

Another session of the Interagency Task Force for Free and Fair Elections [IATF] was held at the Ministry of Justice, chaired by Minister Paata Salia.

Members of the commission discussed the results of the monitoring of the pre-election process of the 2025 local elections and the processes that developed during the elections.

Attention was drawn to the fact that the election process was conducted in a calm, fair and competitive environment, without any disruptions.

According to the CEC, a total of 25 complaints were filed with the District Election Commissions, however, the aforementioned complaints are not related to violations that would have affected the final results of the election process.

The goal of the IATF, established in accordance with the Election Code, is to prevent violations of election legislation by public servants and to respond promptly to possible violations.

In the process of monitoring the election environment, the IATF studied information disseminated in the media and provided by political unions.

The IATF will work until the official publication of the final election results and will hold one more, summary session.
