Paata Burchuladze [leader of the “Rustaveli Avenue movement”] should ensure that no violence takes place tomorrow, he is responsible not only politically, but is officially the organizer of the rally. Such a statement made Speaker of the Georgian Parliament.
“He [Burchuladze] applied to the City Hall with an official letter. Previously, organizers were not identified, and in the case of violence, opposition politicians pointed fingers at each other. [Giorgi] Vashadze [leader of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli] stated that rally participants should have blocked the parliament building, though he later distanced himself from these remarks.
Paata Burchuladze is the organizer of tomorrow’s rally, and if something happens, he will bear the responsibility. The United National Movement will also bear responsibility, along with the NGOs that are co-organisers.
However, Burchuladze officially identified himself as the organizer and the responsible person. Therefore, he should ensure that no violence takes place.
Tomorrow, we complete the election cycle. We held parliamentary elections, then elected the president, and will elect local self-governance tomorrow. Until 2028, the Georgian state will have the opportunity to take care of the economic strengthening and territorial integrity of our country without this false hysteria”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
