If the resolution is not based on objective assessments, it will hold no value for Georgian society. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia, while commenting the draft resolution concerning Georgia being debated today at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe [PACE].

"You are aware of our stance on the current situation within PACE, which is reflected in our decision to suspend our activities in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The situation is truly tragic. The previous resolution also reflected this bleak reality.

Do you remember that at the time, they explicitly called for snap elections, despite the observation missions recognising that the polls had been conducted properly? Naturally, such resolutions are not surprising. However, in the eyes of Georgian society, these resolutions hold no real value. If a resolution is not grounded in objective assessments, it cannot carry any meaningful weight for Georgian society", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
