Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of Georgia’s participation in the European Political Community [EPC] summit, noting that Prime Minister’s presence at discussions on economic matters in Denmark was strengthening the country’s role in European dialogue.
“The European Political Community format has become an important platform for European leaders. Discussions cover all key issues that concern the European region.
For us, it is very important that Georgia is a participant in these discussions and that Irakli Kobakhidze will take part in discussions on economic issues. In general, this is the best format for meetings, as well as communication with representatives of various countries and for discussions on issues of importance to Europe.
There are various initiatives in this format that concern not only the security of Europe but also its economic development.
France had an initiative to unite the efforts of European countries in the fight against drugs. We are joining this initiative.
This issue is very important for Georgia, especially since in recent times intensive work has been underway on this problem, on the fight against drugs, and this initiative introduced by France within this format has been supported by us”, - said Maka Botchorishvili.
