We hope that relations between Georgia and the United States will be reset if the Deep State loses this battle, which is essentially a struggle between the Deep State [DS] and the Trump administration. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“As for democracy, human rights, economic policy, and all the other parameters measured by various ratings and indices, where countries are assessed based on specific criteria, we are unequivocal leaders.

The rest is politics, driven by particular political interests. We have our own national interests. As you can see, we are defending those interests to the very end, both political and economic.

Regarding the US, we hope that relations will be restored if the DS loses this battle, which we refer to as the conflict between the DS and the Trump administration. In that case, relations will be normalised.

However, if the DS prevails, difficulties will persist, though we are accustomed to challenges. We will continue to defend our national interests and see how the situation develops. When the attitude towards Georgia remains unchanged, it signifies that the DS is still strong.

We have not been able to resolve matters with the DS because they sought to open a 2nd front in Georgia. Their representatives came here, and in meetings held at the government administration, they directly demanded the opening of a second front on two occasions. We refused, and since then, relations with the DS have become more difficult.

Our main goal remains to reset relations and renew our strategic partnership. We are patiently awaiting this”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
