Georgian Foreign Minister meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria

Within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Georg Georgiev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues on the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda and explored prospects for further deepening their collaboration. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of the Black Sea not only in terms of security but also as a platform for cooperation in the fields of transport, communications, and energy.

The ministers also exchanged views on the evolving security environment in the region and the challenges currently facing the international order. Discussions further addressed Georgia`s process of integration into the European Union, the challenges encountered in this regard, and the importance of continued support from partners for Georgia`s foreign policy priorities.

Minister Botchorishvili expressed gratitude to Minister Georgiev for Bulgaria`s substantial contribution to the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia and underscored the importance of the Mission’s activities on the ground.
