Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze, together with First Deputy Minister Roland Meskhi, held a working meeting with Director of the Central Criminal Police Department and heads of various divisions of the same department.

Meeting focused on the police measures taken by the employees of the Central Criminal Police Department against the illegal circulation and distribution of drugs. It was noted that the number of people identified and prosecuted for drug-related crimes has increased significantly compared to last year.

The meeting also discussed the implemented and scheduled measures against organized crime, trafficking and cybercrime. It is notable that recently law enforcement officers have solved a number of crimes of the same category and arrested dozens of people.

Geka Geladze expressed gratitude towards the employees for their effective work.
