The Election Administration presents information on the party lists registered for the 4 October 2025 elections for Municipal Bodies - the Council (Sakrebulo) and the Mayor of a Self-Governing City/ Self-Governing Community - as well as on the candidates for Mayor and Majoritarian offices.

A total of 12 political parties and their corresponding party lists have been registered for the elections. In Tbilisi, 9 candidates for the office of Mayor have been registered. All 12 political unions have submitted party lists for the Tbilisi City Council (Sakrebulo) election.

With the exception of Tbilisi, a total of 112 candidates for the office of Mayor have been registered across the remaining 63 municipalities. This figure includes 4 candidates nominated by initiative groups.

Regarding candidates registered for the 4 October elections in local majoritarian districts, the total number stands at 2,228. This includes 160 candidates in Tbilisi, with 32 nominated by initiative groups.

It is noteworthy that, in order to facilitate the registration process, the Central Election Commission has adopted decrees to simplify candidate registration procedures for political unions.

This year, for the first time, political unions were granted the opportunity to submit party lists for the municipal elections remotely, via an electronic form. Concurrently, they were also afforded the means to nominate candidates for mayor and majoritarian deputy positions through remote submission.
