As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Tbilisi Main Division of the Patrol Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the conducted operational measures and investigative actions, arrested Cuban citizen R.P., born in 1992, on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of a particularly large amount of narcotic drugs.

The crimes are punishable by up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

Patrol inspectors stopped R.P. while he was moving on foot in Tbilisi for verification.

As a result of his personal search, law enforcement officers seized 17 packs of the narcotic drug “Methadone” packaged for sale as evidence. The police arrested R.P. as an accused person.

An investigation into the fact of illegal purchase, storage and promotion of a particularly large amount of narcotic drugs is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
