It is a serious matter that a particular suspect, a key figure in the case, is discussing the Ukrainian special services - this is an issue that the State Security Service [SSSG] must be particularly concerned with, and naturally, it will be. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia, while talking about the explosives case involving Ukrainian citizens.

"Regarding potential links to ongoing internal political developments, including the so-called overthrow, it is evident that the opposition is utterly desperate and weakened. That is the main reason for such provocation.

At such a critical time, any form of incitement could be launched. Therefore, all agencies, especially the SSSG, must remain vigilant. I am sure they will pursue this matter to the very end. Every such incident must be thoroughly investigated, and we must establish who is intent on disturbing our peace and harming our nation. We will not permit such actions, and our response will be as strict as necessary", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

New details have emerged in the investigation into explosive material brought into Georgia from Ukraine. According to the SSSG, despite one of the detained suspects indicating in testimony that the explosive material`s final destination was Russia, operational materials show that at this stage only one final location is evident: a residential building in Tbilisi`s Avlabari district.
