We will not allow anyone to use our country as Ukraine was used, or suffer the same severe consequences seen there. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

“There were direct appeals to join the war. This is not something we are inventing. In cabinet meetings, there were direct threats to the Prime Minister and party leadership that a second front should be opened and all combat support provided.

Besides, high-ranking officials - including, I believe, Ukraine’s Secretary of the Security Council - openly said Georgia should intervene and open a second front. Of course, this is very serious.

Through our policy and perspective, we protect our country and pursue a strategy that prioritizes the interests of our homeland. We will not allow anyone to use our country as Ukraine was used, or suffer the same severe consequences seen there”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
