Parliament of Georgia approved Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream, as the new head of the State Security Service.

“A strong state needs strong special services. Naturally, we don"t talk about this often, but in this case, I think this is the most correct answer, given that our country has, in recent years, laid claim to being an established, sovereign, and independent nation.

Achieving such an ambitious goal would be impossible without a powerful security apparatus… Accordingly, without a strong security service, it is impossible to come close to such an ambitious goal. Since we have stated this firmly and clearly before the world, I believe my main task, and the one from my team, is to ensure the country has a security service that is appropriate and corresponding to this goal”, - said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
