Mayor of Tbilisi condemned remarks made by Peter Fischer, Germany`s Ambassador to Georgia, calling them insulting and beyond the bounds of diplomatic conduct.

"Our biggest problem today is that there are still ambassadors like Peter Fischer within the country. Such individuals should not dare, nor should they be allowed by their country, to represent any nation here. This is harmful, first and foremost, to the country they represent.

We maintain friendly and partnership relations with Germany, but when we see such audacity - in this case from an Ambassador - it is very serious, insulting, and exceeds all diplomatic boundaries", - said Kakha Kaladze.

Peter Fischer earlier said that Georgia had no chance of joining the European Union under the current Government.
