We appreciate Georgia`s support for Ukraine`s sovereignty and territorial integrity - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili

Ukrainian Foreign Minister extended his gratitude to his Georgian counterpart for Georgia`s steadfast support of Ukraine`s sovereignty and territorial integrity amid Russia`s ongoing military aggression.

In a letter addressed to Maka Botchorishvili, Andrii Sybiha thanked her for extending congratulations on the occasion of Ukraine`s Independence Day.

"We appreciate Georgia`s support for Ukraine`s sovereignty and territorial integrity amid Russia`s full-scale military aggression. I am confident that together we can promote the establishment of just and sustainable peace for the benefit of the Black Sea region”, - writes Sybiha.

The letter also highlighted the importance of multilateral cooperation, particularly through the GUAM [Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova] framework.

"I consider the GUAM framework an effective mechanism for our multilateral regional cooperation and look forward to the next meeting of the GUAM Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, which will take place within the framework of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly", - reads the letter.

Sybiha wished Botchorishvili success in her professional duties and conveyed wishes of peace and prosperity to the people of Georgia.
