Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, within the framework of her working visit to the Republic of Turkey, met with the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar.

The parties discussed priority areas of cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector.

As noted at the meeting, energy is a priority area of economic cooperation between Georgia and Turkey.

Cooperation on the construction and development of new transmission lines and cross-border trade in electricity was discussed.
