Irakli Kobakhidze meets Amit Lohia, Owner of Indorama Corporation

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Amit Lohia, owner of Indorama Corporation, an investor in Rustavi Azot.

The meeting focused on the corporation`s major investments in Georgia, as well as upcoming developments at Rustavi Azot-one of the largest chemical enterprises producing mineral fertilizers and industrial chemicals. The corporation’s owner expressed gratitude to the Government of Georgia for its support and emphasized the favorable investment environment in the country.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the Government of Georgia strongly supports the inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI), which contribute to economic growth and the creation of new jobs.

Indorama, one of the world`s largest corporations, brings together manufacturing plants for mineral fertilizers, industrial chemicals and various chemical products. The corporation owns over 160 enterprises in around 40 countries worldwide and employs more than 45 000 people.

The meeting was also attended by Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia; Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of Government Administration; Prakash Kejriwal, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of Rustavi Azot and Ephrem Urumashvili, Supervisory Council Member.
