Mariam Kvrivishvili meets representatives of the world’s leading BPO companies

The Minister of Economy, Mariam Kvrivishvili, convened a meeting with representatives of leading international companies specialising in remote business services and processes.

These industry leaders are in Tbilisi at the invitation of the “Enterprise Georgia” agency.

Mariam Kvrivishvili shared insights into Georgia’s investment policies and robust economic indicators, emphasising the BPO sector’s potential for further expansion. She highlighted that, in recent years, Georgia has established itself as a prominent regional hub for remote business services. Notably, country now hosts operations from industry’s top-5 global companies, serving leading brands, creating thousands of jobs, implementing international standards of excellence.

“Our goal is to attract foreign investments across both traditional and emerging sectors. One such sector, which has developed from scratch in recent years, is Business Process Outsourcing [BPO]. We have successfully brought in global players in a remarkably short period, resulting in thousands of new jobs and the export of services worldwide”, - said Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister.

He further noted that the IT sector follows a similar trajectory, with the government attracting numerous international tech giants and generating tens of thousands of high-tech, high-paying jobs: “This meeting with the heads of leading BPO companies provides an opportunity for them to familiarise themselves with Georgia’s business climate and the specific offerings the state provides to global industry leaders”.

Additionally, “Enterprise Georgia” agency organised a summit bringing together approximately 20 representatives from top international firms in the remote business services sector. During the summit, Mikheil Khidureli, the agency’s director, showcased Georgia’s investment potential and highlighted the country’s advantages and opportunities for investors, reinforcing Georgia’s position as a strategic destination for business growth and innovation.
