A man has been killed and 4 other people have been injured this Monday morning in a knife attack at the central bus station in the Israeli city of Haifa.
Israeli police immediately moved to the station and shortly after reported that the attacker had been killed. Initial reports spoke of a mass shooting, but the police later described the attack as a "terrorist attack" carried out with a knife.
The fatal victim is a 70-year-old man who was initially seriously injured and died shortly after, according to the Israeli ambulance service. Medical services are treating four other people, three of them in serious condition, according to Efe, and including a 15-year-old boy.
The attack comes as the threat of a resumption of war looms over the Gaza Strip, after the first phase of the truce ended on Saturday without an agreement for the second phase.
