Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze met with Permanent Representatives of various countries accredited to the UN.

The meeting focused on Georgia`s economic and investment opportunities. The Head of Government stated that peace and stability are guaranteed in the country, which is an essential prerequisite for economic development.

The importance of cooperation and dialogue in multilateral formats was emphasized, especially in light of the growing security challenges worldwide.

The parties discussed the long-standing and fruitful cooperation between Georgia and the UN.

Particular attention was paid to the importance of supporting the Georgia-initiated resolution on the “Status of Internally Displaced Persons and Refugees from Abkhazia, Georgia and the Tskhinvali Region/South Ossetia, Georgia", which is adopted annually by the UN General Assembly. During the meeting, Irakli Kobakhidze spoke about the Georgian government`s peace policy and expressed gratitude to the Permanent Representatives of various countries at the UN for their firm support of Georgia`s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the non-recognition policy.
