The 90th meeting of the European Students` Union [ESU] Board was held in Vienna, Austria, where the Georgian Student Organizations Association [GSOA] was represented by Liza Zhvania and Davit Leshkasheli.
Among other important issues, the Board discussed the reassessment of Georgia`s membership status and extension for an additional five-year term, which was unconditionally supported by the majority of the member states.
The GSOA has been a full member of the ESU since 2019. The ESU is the umbrella organisation of 43 National Unions of Students [NUS] from 40 countries. Its fighting for students` rights since 1982.
The aim of ESU is to represent and promote the educational, social, economic and cultural interests of students at the European level towards all relevant bodies and in particular the EU, Bologna Follow Up Group, Council of Europe and UNESCO. Through its members, ESU represents almost 20 million students in Europe.
