Minister of Justice of Georgia participates in the Conference of Ministers of Justice of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.

In his speech, Paata Salia focused on the need to protect human rights, on the one hand, and state sovereignty and national interests, on the other hand, in the process of forming and managing migration policy; on the importance of the standards established by the Strasbourg Court on migration issues.

Within the framework of the conference, he also shared Georgia’s experience in managing migration with his colleagues.

Ministers of Justice of the Council of Europe member states and other high-ranking representatives are participating in the conference, which was organized at the initiative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

During his visit to Strasbourg, Paata Salia will hold meetings with fellow ministers and the President of the European Court of Human Rights.
