Agreement on Cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan was signed, which was signed by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Geka Geladze, and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, Vilayat Eyvazov. Document will contribute to further strengthening the existing partnership between the relevant agencies of the two countries, including in the field of crime prevention, detection, suppression.
The areas of cooperation envisaged by the document include such priority areas as: illicit drug trafficking, cybercrime, trafficking, illegal migration and crimes against property.
In addition, a bilateral meeting was held between the parties in an expanded format, during which the discussion touched upon sectoral reforms, ongoing projects, and the importance of sharing information and experience within the framework of police cooperation.
The Ministers once again emphasized the existing fruitful cooperation and expressed their willingness to further strengthen ties.
