Customs officers revealed the fact of the illegal (secret) import of a large amount of "cocaine" into "Sarpi"

As a result of the measures taken by the customs officers of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance together with the employees of the Main Department for Combating Illicit Trafficking of Drugs of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a large amount of the narcotic substance "cocaine" was illegally (secretly) imported across the country`s border at the customs checkpoint "Sarpi".

Based on suspicion, customs officers, as a result of a detailed inspection of a vehicle driven by a foreign citizen, discovered up to 150 grams of "cocaine". The offender had placed the narcotic substance in a single packaging in a coffee package.

The case materials were transferred to the relevant service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia for further response.
