During her official visit to the State of Israel, Georgia`s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, held a meeting with the Speaker of the Knesset, Amir Ohana.

During the meeting, the historical ties between the Georgian and Jewish peoples and the friendly relations between the two countries were noted.

The discussion focused on cooperation between the legislative bodies of Georgia and Israel and the important role of the parliamentary dimension in further strengthening bilateral relations.

Special attention was paid to the issue of deepening trade, economic and people-to-people ties.
The conversation also touched on the security environment in the region.
