German Ambassador to Georgia Peter Fischer arrived on Rustaveli Avenue during the demonstration.

Mamuka Tsutskiridze, one of the protest participants, shared on his Facebook page a photo taken with the Ambassador.

“The ambassador’s unexpected act of solidarity. I was about to leave the rally; also, earlier today, we had been loudly protesting against the police on the streets of Sololaki.

Suddenly, the German Ambassador, Peter Fischer, approached us and once again showed his support. I expressed my deepest gratitude for his friendship and support for Georgia. It was a moment we will never forget”, - writes Mamuka Tsutskiridze.
